Religious Marble Lucifer Sculpture for Sale

The Marble Lucifer Sculpture was created by Belgian sculptor Guillaume Geefs in 1848. It depicts the fallen angel Lucifer in Christian legend.

The Lucifer Sculpture, made of marble. The total height of the statue, 45 cm, including his posture sitting on a rock. Lucifer’s wings are no longer feathered wings like angels, but bone wings with only skeletons and fascia like demons, which look very dilapidated and ugly.

His toes have become sharp, like the claws of a beast, adding to the horror of the sculpture. Lucifer’s face is annoyed and his brows are furrowed. Combined with other details on him, he perfectly shows his complex emotions as a “devil”. He has one hand covering his head, and the other hand is shackled, holding a broken scepter and a crown that has “fallen off”. There are chains on his right foot. These details all hint at his failure and fall.

The background of the statue has a collapsed cross imitating marble, plus skulls and animal bones of sacrifices. These elements together create a gloomy and terrifying atmosphere.

The entire sculpture, through its gestures and details, perfectly depicts the process of Lucifer’s fall from an angel to a demon, symbolizing fall, destruction and evil. The only surviving Lucifer sculpture in the world is located in a niche in the stairwell of St. Paul’s Cathedral in Belgium. It is very unique and eye-catching. Sculptures like the one we customized are actually replicas.
