America’s Response Monument History
America’s Response Monument, located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, a sculpture built to commemorate the 9/11 incident and the emergency rescue workers who sacrificed their lives in emergencies and disasters. The sculpture stands 30 feet tall and weighs 6,000 pounds. The main body of the sculpture is composed of two triangles. A large triangle stands at the top of the sculpture, symbolizing the American flag, and a smaller triangle is located at the bottom, symbolizing the state of Georgia. Between the two triangles, there is a bronze plaque inscribed with “America’s Response Monument,” along with the name of the builder and the name of the donor.
