Joseph Stalin Statue History
In Pushkin Square in the center of Moscow, there once stood a bronze Joseph Stalin Statue. This bronze statue was built during the Soviet period to commemorate Stalin’s contributions, but now it has become a historical and political symbol.
Joseph Stalin was one of the important leaders of the Soviet Union, who took over as leader of the Soviet Union after Lenin’s death in 1924. Statue History

After removing the bronze statue, the Moscow city government decided to send the bronze statue to another Russian city, Ulyanovsk, Stalin’s hometown. However, during transportation, the bronze statue, accidentally abandoned in a forest outside Moscow. After a period of silence, the bronze statue, purchased by a Russian entrepreneur named Yuri Lozanov and transported to his private museum, the Russian Ethnographic Museum.
Today, this bronze statue of Stalin has become a historical witness.
